This corner view of the Station building complex shows the newly adopted 1930's colour scheme.
This uses Light and Dark Stone as the main contrasting colours with White woodwork.
Previously, the station was painted in the 40's style of Cream and Dark Chocolate. This was employed by the SVR during the stations initial construction. After 20 years of weather and general use, a repaint was in order.
This has proved to be a lengthy project, with fine weather being a prerequisite. Lets hope it's 20 years before we need to do it again.
