It was common for toilet facilities in open areas to be shielded from public gaze by a screen.
This view shows a screen constructed by the 'Friends' in position on the main concourse in front of the door to the Gents.
The cast iron uprights were recovered from the ex GWR station at Stourbridge Junction. They were cast by 'Hill & Smith' a local firm, in the days when the 'Black Country' was famous the world over for its' iron work.
The new wood screen was also produced by a local firm in Iroco hardwood, but this time in 2000.
